Grace Dacanay-Chong has authored 62 published books to date (2025) and has won six Palanca awards. She was conferred the Gawad Balagtas lifetime achievement award for children’s literature in 2019. Grace holds degrees in Speech and Drama (UP), Mass Communications (Columbia College, USA), and Fine Arts (Chicago Art Institute). She and her late husband, Tony, were blessed with three sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson.
